From an early age, art was my passion. I enjoyed experimenting with different mediums and could often be found doodling my way through classes I found less interesting. Pursuing a career in design was a no-brainer for me.
I studied design at Indiana University and assumed we'd start by learning how to use design software. But when classes began, and we jumped right into theory and peer critique instead, I immediately felt behind the curve. That feeling motivated me to catch up, watching every online tutorial available. I was fortunate to learn early on that growing as a designer requires continuous learning and exploration — a mindset I've internalized and continue to practice.
My recent work has allowed me to dive deep into the digital space. My goal is to always present information in a way that looks good and makes sense. Something I especially love about digital work is having the ability to truly see what resonates with customers. Having that visibility into the data has allowed me to be more strategic and thoughtful in my work.
On a personal note, I like chasing my kids and dog around the yard, playing pick-up basketball or soccer, and eating a good cheeseburger with a nice IPA whenever possible.
